Soundbytes – Sonoma Music Festival adds talent

If the appearance of two Rock and Roll Hall of Famers and a country music stars only Northern California appearance right here in Sonoma Valley wasn’t enough, Bruce Cohn and the Sonoma Music Festival have added additional acts to the show. The Friday, Oct. 7, show that features John Fogerty has added Fogerty’s own sons band to the bill, with Hearty Har opening the evening performance. Based out of Los Angeles, Hearty Har is working on their second album and play a variety of genres of music. Added to the Sunday, Oct. 9, bill is Lyndsey Elm, who recently appeared as a contestant on ‘The Voice” and wowed the judges with her rendition of Meghan Trainor’s “Lips Are Movin.”
So the line-ups are now Friday, Oct. 7, with doors at 3 p.m. Hearty Har, Andy Velo and an evening with John Fogerty. Saturday, Oct. 8, it’s Greg Douglass and the Accomplices, Paul Barrere, Gabe Ford, Kenny Gradney and Fred Tackett of Little Feat, Dave Mason and the Steve Miller Band, with doors at 2 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 9, it’s Lyndsey Elm, the Curly Wolf, Andy Velo and Toby Keith.
Keith is making a special trip to California as he and Bruce Cohn both share the vision of helping veterans causes, and over the 29 years of the festival, has donated over 7 million dollars to that and local charities as well. This years benefactors are Fisher House, American Legion Post 489, the Redwood Empire Food Bank and others.
Good seats are will available and standing room only tickets will also go on sale Thursday, Sept. 1, as a special local ticket offering for residents of Sonoma Valley. The $47 standing room tickets are available in person at the cashier’s window at Sonoma Chevrolet, 687 W Napa St. in Sonoma beginning at 10 a.m. Residents will need a valid ID showing they live in the Valley. There will be a 4 ticket maximum purchase per person.
